"New Proc Failed with Errno:0x56" Everytime I Try To Launch TS4?

Hi, I have MacOS Catalina 10.15.1.

I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, mid-2011), so it's technically considered too old, but it IS a 64-bit, so i had a friend change some controls within the Mac firmware to allow the Catalina update (otherwise, it would have been stuck on High Sierra).

I was forced to download the Legacy edition of TS4, because my game said it needed it to play. I'm aware they recently updated TS4 so that Legacy was forced onto computers that would no longer be updated for bugs or new expansions. After Legacy downloaded, I had to update the Sims base game in order to play. When I updated it, the update kept getting stuck updating at 98%. I'm aware that was caused due to a bug, and it was fixed the next day. However, after it finally downloaded the base game, whenever I try to launch the game, I get an error saying

"New proc failed with errno: 0x56"

?????????

What does this mean? Is anyone else having this problem? Or know how to fix it?

I have tried to get in contact with EA Help, but their support agents who work the live chat and the phone lines work opposite hours of me (I work late in the night), so they are never available to chat, and I pretty much have been relying on the help of the forums on this website.

That is the same error that was affecting those who had installed Catalina while it was still beta as there was one 32-bit file in the game causing the error. Maybe the Legacy Edition has that file still in it as it was not designed to be installed on Catalina so no need to fix the 32-bit issue (Catalina does not support 32-bit apps).

You can no longer play the normal and current version of Sims 4 as your Mac does not support Metal and you will have to wipe your Mac and go back to High Sierra to install the Legacy Edition.
