origin download not working on my MacBook air

I purchased the Sims 4 and I had to download origin to play it. I downloaded it, but now it won't install. It states that the operation cannot be completed because one or too required items can't be found. It says that it's an error -43, but I looked it up and I can't find anything about it. I have a MacBook Air, my system has been recently updated, and I have no absolute clue how to install origin with this problem. I need help ☹️
