Origin update repeatedly fails because of 'location not available'

The Origin update of Sims 4 repeatedly fails because of 'location not available' for various files. I've solved about four of these using advice from answers here, but it keeps finding new ones. ...

Thanks for responding. The error messages are Origin not OS. The current one reads: 'Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 to /Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/Default.ini_DiP_STAGED. Please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location.'

As I say, I've had several like this. Following/extrapolating from advice here, I've deleted the indicated file each time, but this time I cannot find the file in Finder, so cannot delete.

Right click on the app in your applications folder, select Show Package Contents and navigate through to it. You may find only an uninstall and reinstall will fix it, it's borked Origin download ☹️
