Origin won't open on MacBook Air. Won't Respond to Force Quit

I just bought the Sims 4 + expansion packs, but I didn't have Origin installed. I downloaded and installed it, but it won't open. The icon will jump, and it will briefly say "Origin" in the top left ...

I followed the steps and made it to a User Agreement before it stopped working again. I'm having the same issue with not being able to Force Quit it.
