Nope, that can't be it. As there has been quite a lot of issues with the game working, I always shut down all running apps and usually even play without being connected to the internet.

Can you also confirm what Sims game you are referring to?

I'm using Macbook Pro 15'', from end of 2013 and OS X version 10.9.5
With 2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor,
graphics Intel Iris Pro 1024 Mt.
Memory; 8 Gt 1600 MHz DDR3.
And I'm referring to Sims 4 (digital deluxe) with no mods/cc.

Thanks, what a weird issue! Sims 4 performs better on Yosemite, is there any chance you can upgrade to OS X 10.10.5? That may iron out the issue. Have you also tried repairing the game by right clicking on it in your Origin games library and selecting Repair Game?
