The reformatting of the drive and redownloading of the sims and the packs hasn't worked unfortunately, the bug is still there. Not sure what to do next ☹️

To clarify, it’s not a bug. It’s a system issue not helped by how rubbish Origin is. Maybe move other stuff from your Mac to the external drive and install the game locally on your machine?
