After the latest update my game is completely useless. I've been playing for more than 10 years and this has never happened. I tried every step possible. I don't know what else to do, I'm unable to play. Worlds are missing, Llama icons instead of lots. Is anyone able to help?

Apologies, only on my Mac laptop :(
I use a hard drive next to it but it has never been an issue, since I'm careful about the folders being in the correct Location. I've un installed both the EA app and The sims 4 multiple times. The base game works perfectly but the other packs don't.
I've merged your posts into the ongoing master thread on this issue for Mac users. It does sound like an installation issue, as Crin has pointed out. See the solution in green in the opening post, installations on external drives are mentioned with a subsequent link on how to test your drive.
