Ive spent the last 3 hours clearing my caches restarting uninstalling origin an reinstalling and now it finally works, i'm just praying deleting my caches did nothing

That's a really poor link and irrelevant for Mac users.
Mac users should run the Origin reset tool https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ and/or simply try a clean game folder https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/td-p/4612394#M163 - @witchyfeel I need help on what you did because I am having the exact same problem!!!
