Re: Origin and Sims 4 won't open - mac

I tried to reset origin but it didn't help, I still get the empty white box pop up - also when I try and start it in safe mode the application will launch but all I get is a message that says uh-oh something went wrong and the page you are looking for doesn't exist, or something along those lines.

@Danielleb3764 https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ This is the link. You can expand the resetting origin, and the link for the the tool is underlined.

Besides, have you updated your OS to Catalina latest version?

@x4m1r4 Hi I am also having this issue, when I click the play button, the app crashes before it even opens and brings be back to the origin screen. I just used your link and reset origin and it did not work.

@x4m1r4 Yes I tried that and it didn't work.
I have Mojave, not Catalina but yes it's the latest version.
I don't understand how something can work fine one day and not the next, it's very frustrating. I don't know what else to do!

@kwatters99 I found the issue, for me it was Malware - I downloaded an anti virus program and had to use it a couple of times to fix the issue but it's fixed now, thank god! Maybe try a malware or anti virus program? I hope this helps you!
