Re: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

My game refuses to launch! I've uninstalled and redownloaded both the game and the EA App, and moved my mods folder to my desktop and out of every EA-related folder on my drive. The launcher says that the game is already running and thus can't be opened, but it's not open on my dock or in task manager. I'm on a MacBook Air with Apple M1 chip and running macOS Sequioa 15.5.

Any help is appreciated as I'm looking to buy the new pack soon and miss my sims!
