Re: [Under Investigation] The Sims 4 Will Not Launch On EA App for Mac.

I cannot open the game after switching to the EA App. 

This is the error message I receive: 

Unable to start:

Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the latest video drivers are installed.

Immediately after installing the EA App and before trying to launch the game, I also downloaded the free Blooming Rooms Kit. So the issue occurred after installing the Kit, though I never tried if the game would have successfully launched before. 

I have tried all the steps outlined above, incl. removing all mods.

model – iMac 2023

OS – Sonoma 14.5

timestamp – 15.06.24 20.45 CEST time 

EA App version – 13.224.0.5737

There is no recently created lastCrash.txt file in my Sims 4 folder. 

Really hoping this issue will be resolved soon. The Sims 4 with its DLC has been no small investment!
