Screen glitches with flickering lights after downloading The Sims 4 from Origin

Hi! I used to play The Sims 4 on a MacBook Pro 2012 model, and it worked just fine. I recently had gotten a MacBook Pro 13" 2020 model, which is way more powerful and has more space than my last computer.I downloaded the Sims on this computer, and as soon as I opened it, I saw screen glitches of flickering lights. It's like these pink, green and yellow horizontal lines that flash out of nowhere.

At first I didn't think that the game was causing this because these glitches happened even when I wasn't playing the game. Whether it be watching Youtube, or Netflix, or doing whatever else on my laptop - my screen glitched. I tried lowering the graphics and resolution and deleting the Options.ini fine but it didn't work. Thinking it was a hardware issue on my laptop (which Apple Support thought to be the case as well), I got it replaced for a brand new laptop.

After getting my new laptop, everything worked just fine, UNTIL I downloaded the Sims 4 again, and my screen started glitching again. I tried to fix it like I did before but it didn't work. Then I uninstalled the game and deleted my Electronic Arts folder, and my computer hasn't glitched since.

What should I do? How can I play this game that literally is my favorite escape from life and that I have spent hundreds of dollars on? How can I fix this issue? Someone please help me!
