My Mac is not listed, I have a MacBook Pro early 2011. I have tried pretty much everything to get it to work. My sims game will work fine if I delete Ambitions. And when I download it, I am not sure where it goes. It doesn't go my sims 3 folder like all the others, it will say it's downloaded but I cannot find it anywhere on my computer.
Have you looked in the Origin downloads folder for the .dmg? Origin > Preferences > Installs & Saves then click on Browse Installers
Can you also check the installation - Go into Applications > The Sims 3 (is there an Ambitions shortcut in that folder?) then right click on the base game icon and select Show Package Contents. Navigate through to Contents > Resources > AddOns, is Ambitions listed?
Do you have a 13" MacBook Pro with Intel HD 3000 graphics or a 15" MacBook Pro with AMD Radeon HD 6490M or 6750M and Intel HD 3000?

It is located in the addOns file. it's the only place it is located. I clicked it and it said it had an update, which is the first time it's ever said that, I usually just get the error message. So right now it is updating, And I have the 13" with Intel and HD 3000.

I updated The Sims 3 ambitions, and I'm still getting the error message.

Ok. Can you manually uninstall Ambitions then download it and try again? Please look in the Origin downloads folder I mentioned in my previous post and get rid of any installers that are already there before re-downloading Ambitions
- 9 years agoI have uninstalled and reinstalled these games 4 times now. I even swiped my computer clean and factory reset it. Nothing is working.
