Could you move your whole Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop then try to launch your game.

- 6 years ago@Bluebellflora The issue is loading a saved game (saved before 3rd june). New saved games are working fine. The game crashes after clicking a place and clicking the play button.

Yes I understand. So you've started a new save and you can quit, launch and load the new save fine?
Have you moved out the Sims 4 folder, let the game recreate a new one and then moved the save that isn't loading into the newly created Sims 4 > saves folder to see if that makes a difference?
Which version of macOS are you running?- 6 years ago@Bluebellflora Hi, yes I deleted the whole EA folder in the documents folder after backing up the saves folder.
So the game recreated the whole folder, quit the game and restored only the saves folder. That did not solve the issue.
I have macOS Mojave (10.14.6).
