My game still crashes even after the update patch. Yes, I’ve tried repairing it through origin (multiple times), shutting down origin, clearing the necessary cache, restarting my computer, uninstalling sims, and even taking out my mods folder but it still crashed without it. I could load the game, but it would end up crashing after the Plumbob intro and I would get a Problem Report for The Sims 4/The Sims 4 quit unexpectedly error message report. @cnunez2804 Thanks got it. I managed to load the game up fine and the household in the University town. They were all wearing the orange underwear because I don't have any of the CAS items you have. Please try the save in a completely new clean Sims 4 folder and see if it loads 🙂

Can you remember whether you were in Live mode or build/buy mode when this crashing started?

Sure thing!
The crashing started before I even had the opportunity to play in live/build mode. So, I’m not able to progress past the plumbob intro scene before it starts crashing.
I want to start an entire new save and don’t want to go back to my previous saves, but if you think it’ll help uploading my save file I’ll PM you. Thanks.

I've been running the game flawlessly on my (Metal capable) Mac on Ultra settings for years. With and without mods.
Since the update, launching the game causes a complete lockup and crash of my Mac resulting in a hard reboot.
Game launches, I click on New game, and it starts loading - spinning beachball, then hard lockup without error and Mac restarts.

It appears that the game is crashing my GPU:

Hi there, can you please explain or show me a link on how to fix this issue, I am unsure of how to save my game in a different folder. I am not too computer savvy. My game just started to crash within the last two days. I can't even get past the plumbob loading screens. Origin did an update right before this started to happen. I have repaired the game twice... I haven't had too many issues before that. I play on an iMac -
