Maybe your Mac is now just struggling to play the game due to it's age? The hardware is extremely old ☹️

It used to run fine though, With high graphics settings. When it runs the CPU use is around 10% the memory pressure is practically nil so I don’t believe it’s a hardware issue, it may be old but it’s a powerful machine that more than meets the system requirements, I have seen other people with nividia cards having the same graphics is issues I have, but on iMacs and Mac books.

Yes but you have added two new packs to your game and Seasons significantly adds graphical effects to the game.
Your Mac Pro used to be powerful (they really are superb machines) but you have a 9 year old GPU in there. Apple also stopped using NVIDIA cards around 7/8 years ago so the other Macs you are comparing yours to have similarly old hardware. Can you upgrade the GPU? - 6 years ago
Yeah its all very old stuff now. its not worth it to me to get a new GPU just to play the sims hahaha a game thats as old as my GPU! never mind i will try and remove the expansions i guess?

That would be a good test, to see if it is the packs that have caused it. I wonder if the RAM speed is also a major factor here? Possibly. - 6 years ago
Yeah I think your probably right, hence the low cpu load i guess it can't get the data from ram fast enough aye? never mind. must be time for a new Mac....
