Sims 4 Crashing And Overheating on Mac

Hi there,

I haven't played Sims 4 in a couple of months and just started playing again yesterday after installing Discover University. I have now discovered that my games will crash at random points (most often in build mode and when I accidentally swipe to another screen, not long after starting playing. I have also noticed that my computer is overheating faster than usual. Any help would be appreciated! I am currently using MacOs Mojave 10.14.6 Here is my Mac's System Report.

  • @rubyyb88 I'm wondering if running in Windowed mode still reproduces the problem. Would you be willing to try switching to Windowed mode, then switching virtual desktops with the touchpad swipe?

If Windowed mode makes the problem go away then it might be worthwhile, for now, to just run Windowed mode and double-clicking the title bar to expand the window to as large as your display will allow rather than going into "real" full screen mode.
