Sims 4 Immediately Relaunch

Hello! This has only been a recent problem, but I whenever I save & exit my game (during which there are no issues) Sims 4 will close and then immediately relaunch. I am not hitting the game's app to do this or the EA app. I'm playing on a MacBook Air, and I've never had this issue before! It's not the end of the world, but if I miss it reopening then it simply runs in the back which creates lag and drains my battery, so not ideal! If anyone has experienced this as well or has advice I'd love to hear it.
