Sims 4 is not letting me control my sim

Hi,

I have Sims 4 and have been having issues since yesterday. I can't control my sims. I can create sims, build houses, and do anything on the sims phone, but other than that, I can't do anything. I can't control my sims; they'll move on their own, but their is no option to interact with other sims or make my sims walk anywhere or initiate any actions. I have shut down Sims, restarted my computer, changed things in the option panel, everything I can think of, but it's still not working. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

@Freggi-Liz So mods won’t work on Mac at all? And that’s why it’s happening?

Oh and I have a MacBook Air in case that matters.

Hi @bostonangel44

Make a right-click on the Sims 4 cover in Origin and say Repair.

Delete the cache in Sims 4, under Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

localthumbcache.package, cache, cachestr,

If you use mods or other downloads, these can cause problems if they are not optimized for mac.

So basically if I use mods and I use a Mac it won’t work? It’s weird bc I’ve used mods before
