Which files from a previous Sims 4 folder do you move into the newly created folder?

macOS Monterey
Version 12.3.1
MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)
Processor: 1.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i3
Memory: 8 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB
After changing the Sims folder to Sims 4.old, I move my mods folder, saves folder, and tray folders to the newly created Sims 4 folder.

Thanks. The whole point of creating a new Sims 4 folder is to test the game thoroughly without any of your previous data. If it works normally you can then start adding back your saves, mods etc. but when the game stops working again you know it will be one of the files you just added back which is causing the problem. There have also been multiple reports of game issues over the last year or so from users with the same Mac as you. This is most likely to be caused by the very low spec. of the machines as they are not designed for any form of gaming.When creating a new Sims 4 Folder, I do move each folder in one by one, and I get no issues upon reboot. I thought this was caused by my script mods, since it usually happens after I turn on the script mods, however even with script mods out of my game it still will sometimes crash.
What do you recommend doing? Will this just be an issue that can't be solved – and a stronger gaming computer will be needed?
