Thanks. The whole point of creating a new Sims 4 folder is to test the game thoroughly without any of your previous data. If it works normally you can then start adding back your saves, mods etc. but when the game stops working again you know it will be one of the files you just added back which is causing the problem. It's all explained here - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163
There is also the possibility that Monterey is causing the issue, as evidenced in this thread - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/macOS-Monterey-and-new-Sims-4-update-crashing-problems/td-p/10942620
There have also been multiple reports of game issues over the last year or so from users with the same Mac as you. This is most likely to be caused by the very low spec. of the machines as they are not designed for any form of gaming.

When creating a new Sims 4 Folder, I do move each folder in one by one, and I get no issues upon reboot. I thought this was caused by my script mods, since it usually happens after I turn on the script mods, however even with script mods out of my game it still will sometimes crash.
What do you recommend doing? Will this just be an issue that can't be solved – and a stronger gaming computer will be needed?

Does it only happen after you've added the script mods back in then taken them out again? Or does it happen before you've added them back in, after playing a clean game for a while?
If the issue is related to Monterey you will need to wait for either EA to fix it, or for a future Apple update which may change whatever the trigger is.
If it's Mod related you need to test adding them back in one at a time, finding out the culprit.
I suspect it is a mixture of these two things. With regards to the Mac, the more content you add to your game the more your Mac will struggle to run it. It is difficult to sometimes troubleshoot on low spec machines because performance will always be compromised.
I would try a clean folder again and play it for several hours without adding in any of your Mods, see if it happens again and how frequently.- SummerSloane4 years agoSeasoned Rookie
@Bluebellflora I've noticed it happening more often after I enable script mods and try to restart my computer. However, when taking the script mods out, my game still crashes and I get the same error, so it makes me think something else is wrong? I've also tried taking out all the mods and still I get an error and my game crashes.

No, that's why I asked if it was happening before you added them or only after. If it's only happening after you add them, even if you then remove them, it is the Mods. There will be data in your saves and cache files relating to the Mods.
