Also happening for me, have tried everything including playing with a completely new game - have essentially lost all gameplay in the process.
Hopefully there's a fix soon.

Correct. Renaming or moving the Sims 4 folder forces the game to create a new one which test whether the issue is in the user data. You've stated you've lost all gameplay so presumably your game now loads as it should? The problem is therefore in the Sims 4 folder. Follow the link in my previous post which describes how to figure out what is causing the issue.

My game has only started once, since creating a new game file. I now keep having the same issues with it crashing on startup and haven’t been able to play in almost two weeks.

What files did you add into the new Sims 4 folder from the old one?
Which model Mac do you have and version of macOS?- xjfm2 years agoRising Novice
That’s the thing - I’m not adding any files from my old game. Just trying to play on a completely new file.
I have a 2022 macbook pro and its last update was macOS 15.1.1
