Sims 4 Keeps Freezing on MacBook Air

I’ve been playing the Sims on my MacBook Air for almost a year now and have played almost daily for the last 3 or 4 months and have not experienced any issues. I don’t have any Mods or CC installed; I only play with the base game and packs I’ve downloaded. However, my game started consistently freezing but not crashing after downloading things off of the gallery (like I always do). First, the gallery broke, but now every time I enter my game I have like two minutes to play before it completely freezes and I have to force quit. I feel like I’ve tried everything and I don’t want to completely reset my game. Please help!
