sims 4 loading very slow
okay so, my sims 4 had about 45gb of mods on it, and it loaded within 5-10 minutes. pretty annoying, but it worked. as soon as i put my whole game + ea folder onto my hard drive, it started taking 30...

It all depends on the external drive you're using, whether it's an older spinning HDD or an SSD/Flash drive. The connection also matters, whether it's a slower USB-2, USB-3 or faster Thunderbolt/USB-C.
The faster the drive and connection, the faster your game and user data will load.
