Sims 4 mac does not work after update
I have The Sims 4 (base game + Get Famous, no cc, no mods) which I play on my Macbook Pro (early 2011 model), Mountain Lion OSX. After the recent Sims 4 update via Origin I am unable to play the game...

If you're on a 2011 MacBook Pro you should be running the Legacy Edition which, even though it appears to patch, doesn't add any updates to the game. Can you move the Sims 4 Legacy Edition folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop then try to launch a new clean game.

Yes I have been playing it on Legacy Edition. I have had no problems with the game before this update. Will moving the folder to the desktop mean that I will lose all my saved data?
