[Sims 4 Mac] Fullscreen not Working

Bear with me, I don't often post support requests, but I'll do my best.

Just opened up Sims 4 on my Mac (yay!) and I can't seem to get it to enter fullscreen. When I do so (by pressing ctrl + cmd + f, clicking view > fullscreen mode, or by going through game options), the in-game visuals expand as if they are in fullscreen, but the whole thing stays confined to a window (thus I can't see parts of the screen). I'm able to enter fullscreen on other applications, so I don't think it's a problem with my settings.

Running OS X 10.9.5 on an iMac. Any tips are appreciated.

Know that this post is super old, but this didn't have a solution that worked for me and I just found one. I'm using a pre-retina Mac and my Graphics setting had Retina ticked. Un-ticked that and BOOM full screen works!
Know this seems super logical but I just didn't twig!
Hope this helps other simmers out there 🙂

Go to your game options (the three dots in the upper right corner) and go to the graphics tab. There you should have the option to run the game in windowed or full screen mode.

Thanks, but as I said in my first post, I did try that. Same result.
Any other advice?

You may have to upgrade to Yosimite as that seems to be helping with other peoples problems with the game. However, can you please post your computer specs (found when you click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner) and what kind of graphics card you have.

Sorry. I must have missed that part.

Hope a mac helper can help you out better. I don't know much about them.

Have you tried different resolution settings in game? Knowing what Mac you have will help. Even in full screen, when you hover your cursor at the top of the screen you will see the menu bar.

Upgrading to Yosemite might be worth a try. Specs as follows:
Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 750M

EA is aware of the issues with various graphics cards and their drivers. They are currently working to correct the issues. No ETA on when the patch will be available.

OH MY GOD YOU ARE A HERO thank you very much I was getting all upset I wasnt able to play :c
I didn't have the exact same problem but it was similar. What an easy solution to this. lol.

hi, i don't have any retina things on my graphic setting is it in the sims setting or my mac setting? i am so frustrated that i cannot play my sims 4 properly anything that can help me?
