sims 4 pets installed but no content in game

I have bought and downloaded the Sims 4 Pets when it came out. When i go to extra contents it says that it is installed however when I play the game there is a pop up that say it's still downloading....

    Could you please check in Origin if you are still getting the option to Download, even when Origin told you the game was already installed? Also, are you able to save the game?

    Some players have been reporting a similar issue in this thread, and it would be good to know if it's the same.
