Sims 4 running slowly on Mac

My sims game is running very slow despite being on low graphics. The game has run fast before but sometimes when I go on it just goes very slowly.

Specs:

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)

2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Radeon Pro 555 2 GB

Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB

I did and it didn't change for some reason. And yes I have 73GB left in my hard drive.

Ok. Can you please create a new user account on your Mac and play a brand new, clean game with no saves in that account?
