Sims 4 Stuck on Opening Loading Screen (Mac)
I got a new laptop last week, installed everything from my backup and now my Sims 4 game won't work; whenever I try and open it it just gets stuck on the initial loading screen and won't even get to the home screen.
I've already tried all the suggestions from the mac help guide - removed the sims 4 folder out of the ea folder so it can make a new save, repaired the game, restarted origin, and launched the game from my desktop rather than origin. The first time I moved the sims 4 folder the game launched but I then got new error messages saying it didn't recognise my video card, and 'sims delivery error code: 00000008:0000000000000000' (screenshots attached). I closed it and re-opened it using the new blank sims 4 folder it had and now that is getting stuck on the loading screen too. All that's been accomplished is all of my expansions have somehow become uninstalled.
I'm running it on a mac, no mods, some expansions.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be super grateful 💕

You can ignore the video card error, it doesn't stop the game from loading.
Make sure Origin and the game are closed. Move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop again, then manually reset Origin - https://bluebellflora.com/how-to-uninstall-origin-on-a-mac/ then load Origin and repair the game, then try to launch it.
