will this delete my world saves though im very attached to some of them and would hate to lose them?

It doesn’t delete them as they are safe in the folder you have moved/renamed. A new Sims 4 folder is created which has none of your user data in it. It’s important because we can narrow down what the issue is if the game now launches as it should. It’s all explained in the link I provided.
