I have even uninstalled the game and reinstalled everything and it works for slightly longer the first time I play but it still will end up freezing

What else do you have running when you try and play?
If you restart your Mac and then load the game does it play longer before beach balling?

I never had a problem with storage, I started filling it up almost over the brim but then I deleted a lot of stuff and now there is enough to play the game.
I make sure to close everything before playing.
Still the same amount of time.

Your Mac uses internal storage as virtual memory as and when it needs to, the amount of space available isn't just relevant to how much space is used up for the game installation or user data. That's why I asked how much internal storage space you have available. - @Bluebellflora ah so how do I check this?
