I did what you said but the glitch it still there, I deleted my mods completely so it wouldn't interfere as well.. I also noticed that there was some glitching with sliders, notifications, and loading screens that came back.. I have attached screenshots of those, not sure if the go in hand with the wave glitch or separate, but just after I downloaded Island Living this happened, but it went away after I restarted my game that day, not sure why it is back.. Let me know if I can try anything else! Thank you for all your help! 🙂

The glitchy UI is a known issue, we have a thread here - https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/POSSIBLE-BUG-UI-glitches-and-greyed-out-menus-after-April-patch/m-p/7819322#M17219
At the moment the solution is to let the game go through the intro, don't skip any screens. I wonder if they are somehow linked? Could you load up the game and not skip through the intros and see?

Ok, thanks for trying and reporting back. You could set up a new user account on your Mac and play in that account to see if it's anything in your existing account conflicting but I doubt it will be. ☹️
