I see. anyway still all I did was switch to Windowed mode.

Have you tried a completely new clean game by moving the Sims 4 folder to the desktop so a new one is created?

What pointing device are you using? Apple trackpad or mouse or 3rd party device?

  trackpad and bluetooth mouse. I checked both but that's not the problem, I think.

    If it’s happening using both then no, doubtful they are the issue. It’s definitely not this which seems different to what you are describing https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/-WORKAROUND-Pointer-clicks-off-target-M1-Pro-and-M1-Max-camera/td-p/10892567 ?
    
    Worth repairing the game in Origin too to see if that helps.
