Tutorial options keep showing up despite settings adjusted. TS4 on Mac M1 pro

Hi! 

I am playing TS4 on a mac (m1 pro, updated to the latest OS). 
Since I started playing on this rather than a windows pc, every single time I open the game, Emily's tutorials appear in live mode, build mode, and CAS mode. 
I always turn them off from the settings, but they reappear after I close the game and open it again. 
I thought it was because I never actually went through all of the tutorial steps, so one day I even spent a couple of hours going over everything, opening every tutorial page and section, hoping that it would stop showing up. It didn't work, I still see the pop-up of Emily (who I hate at this point lol§) every single time I open the game.
It's not a huge deal but I would love to have a smoother gameplay experience.

    I developed a deep hated for Emily as soon as she was introduced 🙂

    Are you able to load your save games ok or is the game not letting you load a save?

    @Bluebellflora Glad I'm not alone in the hatred lol

    Yes, everything goes smoothly aside this, including all my saves.
    I know it's such a minor issue, but it's just been bugging me for a while (pun intended)

    How odd. You definitely turned her off completely in settings? I was wondering about the saves in case your data is being pushed to the cloud so a new game is launched each time you start the game but clearly that's not the case.

    @Bluebellflora Yeah absolutely sure! Every single time I load the game I have to manually go to tutorial & tips, tick off guidance system and help icon centre, i select “apply changes” but if i close the game and open it again, I see Emily all over again ahahha. It’s like a never ending “day one” of someone who opens the sims 4 for the first time (all my other settings remain the same as i left them the day prior so if it’s only the tutorial ones that are affected)
