Uninstalling Sims 4
So I already researched this question, but since it's from a dated post, I want to ensure that it still applies. I have very minimal space on my Mac and can't even back up files on my external drive ...

The Sims 4 folder referred to in your post is the folder that contains all your saves etc. and is located in the Documents > Electronic Arts folder. It is completely separate from the game installation which is referred to in your screenshot. You can uninstall the game and it won't affect your Sims 4 folder but you should always back up the Sims 4 folder just in case.
