In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".
My game updated to stop the crashing and now it will not load whatsoever. Is anyone else experiencing this?
My game was working fine, no crashes at all until the 11/17/20 update, now it just loads continuously.
Hilariously, my game only crashed so that it could update. Once the update finished it became completely unplayable. Loading screens for upwards of 20 minutes every time I tried to open it.
I'm having the same problem. My game was working perfectly fine before the Nov. 10 update. NO crashes. It updated and now I just have a constant loading screen whenever I try to access my save.
Same here. I had the crash pre-patch so I was happy to get it today. Now the game won't go past the loading screen.
I just went into Origin>The Sims 4> Settings> Repair and it seemed to work for me and its a quick fix.
I had this problem too, but running a "Repair Game" fixed it.
How do you do that?!

This is what I get when I try to play a saved game. And if I start a new game it won’t load my worlds. It will just sit there on the tips screen for 30min and never load past the plumbbob screen.
It works! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was trying to fix this issue all last night. Happy Simming 🙂
Hi, I had the same problem. Someone said if you are using Origin to right click on the game on origin and hit repair and it worked for me! Hopefully that works!
I uninstalled everything including origin and reinstalled, won't even load says there is an issue with one of the files
Yes, I am experiencing the same loading forever, never starting game problem on my MAC.
The exact same thing is happening to me. So frustrating!!!
Same. I'm on PC and it won't load at all. "Repaired" it on Origin twice, nothing changed.
