I had this problem too, but running a "Repair Game" fixed it.

Thank you for this advice! This worked for me and hopefully does for others!

So this fixed my problem, however now I am having the issue again with my clock freezing and game freezing. @Bluebellflora helped me through this last time, however this new game I started now has no mods/cc nor any cheats used. I am not sure now what is causing this to start again. I have updated the game and did the repair when I got the spinning plumbob, but it did not fix this issue.

Please can you start a new thread for your new issue and describe in more detail the problem. This thread is specifically for the infinite loading screen 🙂- 5 years ago@Bluebellflora Will do!

I'm having the same problem of the infinite loading screen. I can start the game and it will play the opening screen, but after that it freezes for a while, changes into a totally white screen and the music starts playing, what can go for hours, so I believe it's not just delay. There's nothing except white on the screen and I can't even close the game for as much as I try. I've tried running "Repair Game" for about more than 10 times but it never really works on anything. After the update (november 10) the game would crash occasionally so I had to save regularly, now after the patch, (november 18 if I'm not wrong) it won't even load. I'll keep trying to run the repairs meanwhile, but I'm not sure if it'll work.
