In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".
I wasn't having any problem with the November 2020 update, when the patch was released today (Nov 17) however, my game doesn't leave the loading screen. It will load and open the main menu but when I click on a saved game the loading screen comes on and then that's it. It just loads. I sat here for 10+ minutes multiple times waiting for it to load and it never does.

Exactly the same issues here, I had no problems with the last patch. I tried not to update it, but Origin said I had to update to play the game. Now I can't play the game. Is there any way to go back to the last update?

I just tried going to origin and right clicking the sims 4 and clicking “repair” and it worked!
I so happy because I haven’t been able to play the game since I got the new pack!

Same here! I did a repair and now it will only let me load a new game (no load save game option).
I had the same issue. I managed to fix it by removing my mods and cc, and repairing the game. The weird thing about the repair is that it took almost two minutes to complete unlike previous times where it took under 30 secs. There's no telling if my save will load again until I exit the game though (I currently have it open as of typing this). I will post an update in a while to confirm if the game will open the save again after saving and exiting.

Me too! I was so happy the first update that broke everyone's game wasn't affecting me... But now this one won't even let me load the game! Karma...
I don’t know if anyone has this issue but every since Friday the 20th my game is broken. Every time I try to pause the game or play the game the time seems stuck but everything else seems to be moving. I can’t click on anything or do anything. I removed all the mods and tray, repaired the game and tried with nothing on my mods and tray and it is still broken. Tbh I don’t know what else to try. It’s unplayable and all after the “fixing the crashes” update. Anyone else with this issue?
yea I'm having the same problem, I repaired the game as suggested but it didn't work. now its stuck on the load screen in worlds.

Same thing is happening to me! I’ve tried repairing it, updating, uninstalling/reinstalling, clearing cache folders, and restarting my computer.
I wonder when the new update will come out
