In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".
I can get to the main menu but the game won’t load. I tried deleting all my mods, uninstalling origin and reinstalling it. This only happened after the supposed “bug fix”, I also experienced frequent crashes. But now I can’t even load my game. It just shows the loading screen but it switches between all the different loading screens.
Good to see I'm not the only one. I can't get to the worlds/neighborhoods screen. If I try and load an existing game, it doesn't get past the load screen and if I try to create a new game, it lets me create a sim and pick a season to start in, but the neighborhoods screen goes blank. I was about to uninstall but I'm glad I caught this before I did that.
And like you, I am also playing on a macbook pro.
