Re: Gallery: "Show Owned Packs" Option Showing Un-Owned Packs Too
Since the December 2025 update, I have been experiencing an issue with the Gallery filters that makes it extremely difficult to find lots, Sims, and households that I can actually use.
When I select “Only Show Content From Packs I Own,” the filter does not work properly! The Gallery continues to show builds and content that use packs I do not own, even though I have specifically selected the option to only show content from the packs I own! I have tried different ways to do this as well — still ignored!
I have been hoping with every update since December that this issue would finally be fixed, but as of the September 22nd update, it is STILL happening. I have also posted about this issue before, months ago, so I’m sure some of you have seen me mention it previously.
It is incredibly frustrating to have been dealing with the same Gallery issue for almost an entire year!! This may seem like a small bug, but it has a huge impact on how usable the Gallery is. The whole purpose of its existence, one would assume!
Not everyone owns the majority of the packs, let alone every single pack. I own a good number of them, but I still have an extremely difficult time finding homes that actually use only the content I have available. Almost every build I click on seems to contain something from a pack I don’t own.
At this point, I have resorted to searching specifically for base game builds just to avoid the problem, which shouldn’t be necessary when the “Only Show Content From Packs I Own” filter is supposed to do exactly that.
I really hope this issue can finally be acknowledged and addressed. We already spend a significant amount of time dealing with updates, waiting for mods and CC to be updated, and troubleshooting issues after patches. Having a basic Gallery filter remain broken for this long is incredibly frustrating.
Please fix the “Only Show Content From Packs I Own” filter so that it actually filters out content requiring packs that the player does not own.
