$$$ down the drain!!

Purchased the Sims 4 in August of 2015 had no idea you needed internet in order to play it. After all none of the other versions require you to have internetm I don't have internet and didn't get it till today April 20, 2016, so you can imagine after 8 months of waiting you can imagine how excited I would be that today was finally the day that I get to play. Or so i thought. Find out when I did not have internet I was able to enter in the product code and register even though my computer didn't have internet. Another computer has internet I can't access a dadgum thing. What Tha Heck?!!! I'm pretty steamed what the heck am I supposed to do it's not like this game was cheap. All I wanted to do was have a little fun but it seems now I'm just getting irritated and I feel like I was jipped.

  • So you registered your game on your Origin account and it let you enter your code without having internet and now when you use the same account it won't let you redeem the code again ?

Have you checked if it's on your account ? Downloaded the Origin client: http://origin.com/download and logged in with the account you first registered on and it's not in my games ?

If that's the case, you will need to contact a game advisor for further help

Yes you need the internet to activate the game. There is no anti piracy code other then having an Origin account. Valve's Steam has been around before Origin and some games (Fallout 4, etc.) you can't play unless you register on Steam. You can probably play the game off line but you have to go online to get patches and expansion packs. This game does not "require" a fast connection. There are many free access points and some very cheap wireless services or dsl. I'm old school and don't care for all this social media stuff but I go with the flow. I can't see that you wouldn't use a lot of bandwidth if you used a smart phone (unless your downloading patches or other data. BTW the internet requirement is on the back of the product box.
