@wyhone1972 What version number do you see in the lower-right corner of the Main Menu?
Please also let me know whether it helps to play in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and have a look around.
Just in case it's relevant, please also make sure that you're looking for the new base game features, not anything that's supposed to come with the new expansion.
The fact that you installed Sims 4 on D is irrelevant here. The game's program files and your user folder are always separate and can be on separate drives; it doesn't make any difference.

@puzzlezaddictIt says: Version 1.110.265.1030 DX11
When the update was complete and I'd read the patch notes, the first thing I did when I opened my game was to check out the new ways to change occults in CAS and the cause of death, but they weren't there. The option to toggle or make ghosts and the life event item is also not there. I don't know about the other features but I'm assuming they aren't either.
I can try making a new save tonight and see what happens. I appreciate any and all help :-)- puzzlezaddict10 months agoHero+
@wyhone1972 Your game is fully patched then. If the new save doesn't have the new features, please do try a clean user folder.

@puzzlezaddict I did try a new save when I reinstalled the game. Does that count or is it better to try another one? I hate to sound so obtuse but as I'm so poorly versed on this stuff I thought I'd better check
