6/2/16 update messes up quite a few items

As of 6/2/16, In CAS, I have the same. I can't exit or accept. The issue with mine, also, is that all the buttons/selections outside of CAS are Distorted or not viewable at all. When I pass over the location/jumbled icon, I can see what the function is. When selecting the Retail button on the lower right pane, it's nothing but a jumbled mess..

Makes it very difficult to make changes or even save a game when the buttons are screwed up.

And more.

I'm finding more and more wrong. despite a reboot, a Sims 4 repair from the Origin app, etc.. Refresh of Sims is slow in the worlds when hovering over homes, refresh within the homes is dragging, and as stated earlier, am unable to edit any Sim, see age status, see misc. icons or status bars.

Whatever EA/Origin did, really, really Sucks..

I tried it without/with mods. Repair as myself and as administrator. gave up and decided to start all over after backing up my saves/tray items.. so far it seems to be working ok after the reinstall.

example of jumbled/messed up buttons. this is all over in the game environment. Down in the lower right are the buttons, but you can tell unless you hover over them.

I'm having a similar issue, but the buttons so far have been fine. It's just that when I click on them, they don't always respond. I restarted the game, and now the sim won't load at all in CAS. I was really excited to make a sim of my character too...

Sounds like a mod/ custom content conflict. Please remove everything and try on a vanilla game

It is in Vanilla mode. I even removed the mods from the file and tried again.

Try renaming your user folder. You'll find detailed instructions in the stickies.

If that doesn't help, repair the game. Could be a messed up installation

Where exactly is the sticky for renaming the folder, if you don't mind me asking? The length of those posts are overwhelming me.

Anyways, try this

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)

Tray Folder

Screenshots/Videos/Custom music

Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)

Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....

Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

The renaming method didn't work, but the repair certainly did! I'm happy to say my game is all fixed up!

moving this to general issues than as it's not a bug but an installation corruption.
