@Shennain Are you running the game in DirectX 9 or 11 mode, and does it help to switch? Fullscreen or windowed, and does it help to switch?
@puzzlezaddict- Thanks for your reply. I believe the game runs in DX11, I didn't check before uninstalling the client, nor did I check whether the issue stays between fullscreen or windowed mode. I was only playing The Sims 4 for less than two minutes before I shut it down. My immediate thought was that the update was the cause of the issue as prior to installing it, like within an hour, I was playing other games that run in DX11 and browsing the web with no issues with my mouse. So I just uninstalled it and it fixed the issue.
@jpkarlsen- Thanks for your reply. As a cat owner whose furbaby often jumps up between me and my monitors to demand attention I understand the hazard of her fur sneaking into the tracker of the mouse. It has happened in the past where it has slightly affected the movement of the cursor, but not to the point where it jumps between monitors, instead it would usually jitter in a small area.
