@emurphy07 If you haven't specified that the game run in DX11 mode, you're probably running DX9. But to make sure, you can check the version in the lower-right corner of the Main Menu.
Uninstalling and reinstalling helped the other player in this thread, so I'd suggest that if your download times aren't too bad. Otherwise, clear the EA App's cache and repair the game, which is not as thorough as an uninstall but will be a lot faster.

I just wanted to note that I haven't reinstalled The Sims 4 to see if it is still an issue. I am starting to download and reinstall it again pack by pack to see if this bug is linked to an update of one particular add-on or the base client, or something-or-other. I'm not super tech-savvy, just trying out stuff until something sticks lol 😳
I will be sure to look at what version of DX I'm running while I'm testing things, although it may take a while to get that info as I'm battling a TV for bandwidth via wifi.
