A pack shows up separately/ sims 4

Hello. I was wondering if there was any chance that you could help me. I installed sims a few months back on my new laptop but it came to my attention that even with all the packs installed one shows up as an individual program. here is a image of what I see, if I uninstall it, it does automatically reinstall but when it does it comes up like that. is there a reason at all for this. im worried it takes up disk space as an individual program.....

if someone could explain this to me that would be great

  • @PeachySimmss  This is normal now, for whatever reason.  The pack shouldn't be taking up any extra disk space; it's just being listed separately, unlike older packs.

@PeachySimmss  I don't think so, not unless EA changes how the pack is structured or installed.  I would guess Windows is picking up on some metadata that you couldn't really remove, at least not without deleting something else essential.

If it makes you feel any better, this happened to Mac users for all Sims 4 packs a year ago.  Apple introduced restrictions on what could be buried inside an app's package contents (the equivalent of program files), and all the packs had to be moved to a separate location.  I remember reaading that Windows was imposing similar, but perhaps looser, restrictions as well, although I can't recall the details.
