Activation key needed for Sims 4

I've had the Sims 4 for about 4 years now, and all of a sudden it's asking me for the activation key. I had bought the game in a store (CD case) and I can't seem to find the product key for it now. ...

    If you log in to the Origin account you registered the game to you will be able to reinstall it without the key.
