All furniture just disappeared ...

[Sims 4 PC] All furniture disappeared after I my sim moved. 
 
Hi, 
When I make houses in Sims 4, I usually do it without sims. After hours of game play, I finally make a "test-sim" move in to take if everything is usable due to bb.moveobjects and use of the alt key. Afterwards, I move the sim out before sharing at the gallery or using the right family. 
 
Unfortunately, all of the furniture is no longer in the house, and all of my many hours game play are now lost. 
Have I missed anything, or is this a bug? Is there any way I can get all my progress back? 
It kinda s*cks to have used so many hours, and suddenly loose nearly all of it.

    Hi @trineloe

    did you tick the sell furniture option when you moved your Sim out ? If not, all the furniture is now in the Sims household inventory (which doesn't help you much, I know)

    The best thing you can do is check if one of the automatic backup still has the house with furniture.

    For the future, I would always save houses to the local library before moving in a Sim and maybe create a copy of your save as well.

    Thanks - it worked! I wasn't even asked if I wanted to sell the furniture or not.
    I was not aware of the automatic backup opportunity. I've never noticed it, haha. But it worked, and now I've learned a new awesome feature in the game - thank you so much! 😃

    @trineloe What worked exactly? I'll try it too im so disappointed all my hard work is gone I too moved my sim & name didn't notice the option

    Hi lilbit253, 

    It actually hasn't happen to me lately. But now I always save to library - spending hours or days in build mode is horrible when everything just dissappear.

    I've moved sims while being in the world, removing them by throwing them out/make them homeless. When I have done this, I haven't experienced the problem with dissappearing furniture.

    But even though, I cannot surely say this is the way to do it, since I am not 100 percent sure.

    I would strongly recommend you to save your work in your library. 🙂
