Audio echo/distortion

Updated to latest Origin and patch today and did not change anything in settings. When playing any sounds from Sims actions are echo-y. Music and selection feedback is not only activities like setting down a dish, closing fridge door etc. Have restarted game and computer to no avail.

Check your PC/laptop for audio enhancement applications.

For example, when I started using my laptop, I had to disable all the "enhancements" that were turned on in something called Dell Audio.

Check your start menu for Dell, Dell Audio and then turn off Speaker Enhancements.
