Baby Glitch sims 4

My Sim had a baby boy and when she came home from the hospital and put the baby in the crib, there was no baby.  I could hear but not see the baby.  My sim could interact with him.  When she picked him up he was severly glitched.  I tried mulitple times to reset him but the game says "sim not found", although it could find my adult sims just fine.  I hope you can get back to me on this since is the only age that sim is in need of the parents.  I do not want to just have children and teenage sims.  thank you.
